The Joint Commission Accreditation

The Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations is deemed very important among U.S healthcare organizations. The accrediting body is known to strike fear even to the most seasoned healthcare leaders and owners once they visit the facilities or any setting. For one, JCAHO is the nation’s largest and oldest accrediting and standards-setting body in the healthcare industry as it was established in 1951. Since then, it has accredited approximately 21, 000 programs and organizations in the United States. This is why healthcare organizations need to partner with a Home Care Accreditation Consultant to ease through the accreditation process.

The Joint Commission’s mission statement is: “To continuously improve health care for the public, in collaboration with other stakeholders, by evaluating health care organizations and inspiring them to excel in providing safe and effective care of the highest quality and value.” For a minimum, JCAHO surveyors visit applicants once every 39 months to evaluate the standards compliance. All of these visits are unannounced. As these surveyors are certified and highly trained experts in healthcare, any healthcare organization would benefit from a Healthcare Accreditation Consulting in New Jersey.

You need to be wise and prepared going through the JCAHO process. Partner with one of the Home Care Consultants such as EXECUTIVE PROFESSIONAL CONSULTING SERVICES today.
